Michele Satta Description
This wine is the expression of its vineyard (about 20 hectares) which was the last to be planted. This medium density vineyard (about 6,200 plants/ha) has a natural balance between soil and plant, and between the leaves and the fruit. During harvest the perfectly matured grapes are manually selected. Fermentation without artificial yeasts, in stainless steel tanks and maceration for 3 weeks. The wine is then put into barriques for 12 months after which time it is bottled and cellared for 6 months before shipping.Winery.

Intense, vinous nose with a touch of clove to the cassis and red cherries. Lush, supple fruit with velvety tannins and full body. Crisp acidity and a polished finish full of fruits and spices. Just a bit austere. Drinkable now, but not without potential for 4-5 years of aging.

A suave customer, this red exudes cherry, black currant, raspberry, mineral and spice aromas and flavors. Silky and harmonious, with the right amount of structure and drive on the long finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Merlot, Syrah and Teroldego. Drink now through 2032. 7,500 cases made, 2,100 cases imported.
