Wine Advocate: 92 Points
The 2018 Goldtröpfchen Spätlese is intense and clear on the nose, which reveals a rather fresh oak aroma that is quite subtle but noticeable. Round and elegant on the palate, with very fine tannins, this is a salty-piquant and well-structured Spätlese in a more gastronomic style. Not that sweet but spicy, with a mineral and tonic structure, this is a long-distance runner with a piquant and salty finish. It is still young and sweet, though. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.
